A seat clamp is an essential component for your Brompton that secures the seat post in place. Our Seat Clamp Assembly is made from black adonized aluminum and is the new 6mm diameter quick-release clamp that is supplied with the P Line folding bikes (and previously on CHPT3).
This is a genuine Brompton part, designed to replace your existing quick-release lever by simply unscrewing your old catch and fitting this new one in its place. If you notice that your seat keeps slipping, or if it's wobbling around and doesn't feel secure, this is a sign that your existing seat clamp is worn out and needs replacing.
Properly securing the seat post with this seat clamp is essential for both your comfort whilst riding and your safety. An unsecured seat can affect your riding position and stability on your bike, therefore having an impact on your riding experience.
Note: This is just a replacement lever - and doesn't include the quick-release catch. The Seat Clamp Assembly is compatible with all Brompton folding bikes.
